Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on 11/27/2015 Deputy C.D. Lamberth of the Patrol Division stopped a vehicle on North Barkley Road due to its tag being expired. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Michael Nelson Hrabar of Statesville, Deputy Lamberth smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 125 grams of hydroponic marijuana, which has a street value of approximately $1,500.00. Hrabar was taken into custody and was charged with felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia. Hrabar was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and received a $3,500.00 bond.
