News Release

On Monday, December 12, 2022, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3000 block of Old Mountain Road for a report of stolen vehicles. When deputies arrived on the scene, they met with the property owner who reported two vehicles had been stolen. Detectives obtained video surveillance of the incident and were able to identify the vehicle the suspects were in.

Video surveillance footage shows a white four-door passenger car entering the property from Old Mountain Road. A few minutes later, the same vehicle can be seen leaving the property, followed by the two stolen vehicles.

One of the stolen vehicles was recovered at the intersection of County Line Road and Old Mountain Road. The other stolen vehicle was recovered in Catawba County later the same day. Both of the vehicles had the catalytic converters removed prior to the recovery and were damaged extensively during the commission of the crime.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white in color 2009 - 2011 Mercedes C350 with dark-tinted windows. All four wheels on the vehicle are black, and there appears to be damage to the driver and passenger side view mirrors.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who may recognize this vehicle or the vehicle’s owner to contact Detective E. McNeely at 704-878-3187, or tips can be made anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 704-662-1340.
