[ARCHIVED] An Employee of an Iredell County Convenience Store Charged with a Dozen Felony Charges

Date/Time of Offense: Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Offense(s)/Charge(s): Twelve Counts of Larceny by Employee

Location of Incident: 609 Mocksville Highway, Statesville NC

Suspect(s): Wesley James Fulk

Sherriff Darren Campbell stated: On July 21, 2022, the Iredell County Sheriff‘s Office received a report of Larceny at the Sunshine Express gas station located at 609 Mocksville Highway in Statesville. Detectives working the case pulled surveillance footage, store reports, and obtained statements from management at the store. 

Detectives were able to establish an employee, Mr. Wesley Fulk, as the primary suspect. Detectives reviewed register receipts and store footage to confirm Mr. Fulk was fraudulently refunding lottery ticket sales from customers and taking the refunded cash. 

On September 8, 2022 Wesley Fulk of Birchwood Drive was subsequently charged with twelve counts of Felony Larceny by Employee.

Mr. Fulk was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he received a $3,000 secured bond from Magistrate Nethken for the charges.
