[ARCHIVED] Statesville man faces felony drug charges

                                       Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana

                                       Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia

Location of Incident: Buffalo Shoals Road, Statesville.

Suspect(s): Jarnell Ty’Rek Bailey, 38 Years Old

                    138 Spring Shore Road

                    Statesville, North Carolina 

 

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team were conducting a License Checking Station at the intersection of Buffalo Shoals and Slingshot Road.

Jarnell Ty’Rek Bailey had come through without a Driver’s License. Lt. C. Stone observed Bailey throw an object out the window of the vehicle prior to speaking with the deputies.

Lt. Stone retrieved the white container from the edge of the roadway. Inside the container were 48 dosage units of MDMA or “Ecstasy”. After detaining Bailey and searching him further, he was found to be in possession of Marijuana, and items of paraphernalia.

Bailey was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver MDMA, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, and

Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. Magistrate S. Nicholson issued a 5,000.00 dollar secure bond on these charges.

BOND: 5,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.

Criminal history: Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Four Counts of Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DWI Level 4, multiple counts of Driving While License Revoked.
