[ARCHIVED] Pennsylvania man charged with Felony Drug Trafficking

                                      Misdemeanor Carrying a Concealed Gun

Location of Incident: Interstate 77 Southbound at Mile Marker 56.

Suspect(s): Alvinn Davonn Twine, 32 Years Old

                   1430 4th Avenue

                   New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068

                  

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated On Thursday, June 2, 2022, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team were working on Interstate 77 Southbound in the area of mile marker 56, when they conducted a traffic stop of a rented Mazda SUV bearing a Florida registration plate for traffic violations. 

Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies spoke with the driver who identified himself as Alvinn Davonn Twine from New Kensington Pennsylvania. Twine told the deputies he was traveling from Pennsylvania to Miami, Florida. 

Based upon evidence gathered while speaking with Twine, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Inside the vehicle, the deputies located 90 grams of Cocaine and Marijuana were located inside a backpack in the passenger area of the SUV. In addition to these items, a loaded 9-millimeter handgun and digital scales were also hidden inside the vehicle.

Twine was arrested without incident, and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with Felony Trafficking Cocaine by Possession, Felony Trafficking Cocaine by Transportation, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Carrying a Concealed Gun. 

Twine appeared before Magistrate R. Imes who issued a 500,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges.
