[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested for selling cocaine

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: A drug investigation concluded on August 19, 2015, into the illegal sale of Cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance, in the Statesville area by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Unit with the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation with the arrest of Jose Stefano Duenas Intriago.
The investigation began when information was received from various sources about Jose Stefano Duenas Intriago was possibly selling this cocaine. Surveillance operations were conducted on Intrigao and it was confirmed he was selling cocaine.
An undercover operation was set in motion and undercover buys were made from the suspect in the Statesville area.
Detectives were able to obtain five felony warrants for the suspect; two felony possessions with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substances, one felony count of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substances, one felony count of Maintain a Vehicle or Place to Sell Controlled Substances and one felony count of Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine by Sell. Detectives recovered approximately 53 grams of cocaine from Intriago which has a street value of $13,500.00.
Jose Stefano Duenas Intriago was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and placed under 35,000.00 dollar secured bond.
