[ARCHIVED] Two Mooresville residents charged with felony drug crimes.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday, April 5, 2021, Deputy J. Young with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Community Oriented Policing (COPS) Unit, received a call for service at 1272 Shearers Road in Mooresville. The caller said a man armed with a firearm had shot into a vehicle. 

The victims in the incident managed to get away, and awaited for the deputies and went to the Dollar General located at 1342 Shearers Road to wait for the deputies. The victims told the deputies about the incident, then the deputies went to 1272 Shearers Road to locate the suspect, William Troy Martin. 

The responding deputies located William Troy Martin. Martin at the residence. Martin told the deputies he had fired a shotgun outside of the residence after a short altercation with the father of his girlfriend. 

During the course of the investigation, it was determined victim’s vehicle had been struck twice while attempting to leave Martin’s residence. Martin was taken to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office where he was interviewed about the matter. A search warrant for the residence was executed by deputies and several members of the Criminal Investigations Division.

While executing the search warrant, several firearms were seized along with Methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia associated with packaging and sales of Methamphetamine. 

 William Troy Martin was brought transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Two Counts of Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale or Use of Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Martin appeared before Magistrate R. Imes who issued a 95,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges. 

 Candice Danielle Rogers was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was charged with: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale or Use of Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rogers was given a 10,000.00 dollar secured bond my Magistrate R. Imes.

 95,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.

 Criminal history: Driving After Consuming Alcohol Under 21 Years Old, DWI Level 4, Misdemeanor Assault on a Female.

Mooresville, North Carolina 28115  

 10,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.

 Criminal history: Misdemeanor Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Driving While License Revoked, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Two Counts of Felony Conspire to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
