[ARCHIVED] Two suspects arrested for Larceny during a wedding party

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: That Deputies Rhyne Rankins and Lt. D.E Summers were called to 250 Sojourner Lane River Creek Lodge for larceny of gift cards. When Deputies arrived a Christie case was being detained by Staff at the lodge. Christie’s boyfriend James Michael Weston was located outside and appeared to be waiting on Christie to return. It was reported that Christie and James had eaten with the wedding Party. Staff and family members became suspicious of the two when no one was familiar with them and James was dressed in a Pair of shorts and Christie was wearing a dress. A Staff Member of the lodge began videotaping Christie and observed Christie pick up several envelopes from the gift table and walked outside with them. When Lt. Summers arrived Christie made the statement that she was sorry that she had done a bad thing. The deputies checked the envelopes with the Groom, Parker French and found that the envelopes contained approximately Two Hundred and Ninety Dollars Cash and gift Cards from various stores.
Both Christie Case and James Weston were placed under arrest for Misdemeanor Larceny and transported to Iredell County Jail where they received a Ten Thousand Dollar Secured bond. And assigned a court date of September 21, 2015. Christie Case may have further charge pending in the matter.
