Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, December 10, 202020, Patrol Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex in Mooresville in reference to a subject which had been stabbed.
When the deputies arrived, they located, and spoke with victim who stated he, and a female suspect had gotten into an argument over a cell phone. The argument turned physical, and he was stabbed by the female. He went on to tell the deputies the assault took place at a residence on Overcash Road in Troutman. The victim was able to positively identified Chelsea Nicole Millsaps as the suspect. The victim was treated at the scene by Iredell County Emergency Services, but refused to be transported to the hospital.
Based on witness, and victim statements, a Felony Arrest Warrant was issued for Chelsea Nicole Millsaps for Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
On Friday, December 11, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives went to 105 Overcash Road. Chelsea Nicole Millsaps was located inside of the residence hiding in a closet and was taken into custody. Detectives discovered 5.420 grams of Methamphetamine in her possession. Chelsea Nicole Millsaps was then taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was charged with Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule 3 Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Millsaps appeared before Magistrate D. Chambers who issued a 50,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges.
