Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, December 10, 2020, deputies assigned to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team responded with members of North Carolina Probation and Parole to a residence in the 2100 block of Old Wilkesboro Road. They had received information concerning, Jeremy Wade Thanavastien, who is currently on Parole for Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Heroin, was at 2163 Old Wilkesboro Road selling Heroin.
When the deputies arrived at the residence, they located Thanavastien and a Jordan Leigh Elliott who were conducting a drug deal, where Elliott had just purchased Heroin from Thanavastien.
The officers searched the residence, and located over ten grams of Heroin in multiple individual baggies, dosage units of Methadone, and items of drug paraphernalia consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics.
Thanavastien and Elliott were arrested on scene, and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Jeremy Wade Thanavastien was charged with: Felony Trafficking Heroin, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance (Heroin), Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methadone), Felony Maintain a Dwelling or Vehicle for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Thanavastien was taken before Magistrate T. Thompson who issued a 150,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges.
Jordan Leigh Elliott was charged with: Felony Possession of Heroin and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug of Paraphernalia. Magistrate T. Thompson issues a 3,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges as well.
