Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday, August 3, 2020 Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies received a call to respond to 367 Mountain View Road in reference to a breaking and entering which had occurred to the residence.
After arriving on scene, and starting the investigation, the deputies learned, five guns and several other items had been stolen from the residence.
Detective Scot Hall was assigned to the investigation. Detective Hall, based on information gathered through the investigation, developed, Timothy Chris Stewart, as the suspect. Detective Hall conducted several interviews and was able to determine that Stewart pawned one of the stolen guns at Statesville Jewelry and Loan.
Detective Hall was able to obtain several felony arrest warrants on Stewart for: Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Break and Enter, Felony Larceny of a Firearm, Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and two counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Stewart as arrested on Thursday, October 1, 2020. He was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was served with his arrest warrants. Stewart then appeared before Magistrate R. Imes who issued a 25,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges.
