Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, August 6, 2020, Narcotics Investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team, and Road Patrol Deputies executed a search warrant looking for illegal narcotics at 145 Thoroughbred Drive near Troutman.
Narcotics investigators had received information about Gandt possibly being involved in the sale, and distribution of different types of controlled substances in southern Iredell County. Narcotics investigators began a surveillance operation on Gandt. They quickly were able to verify the information and soon were able to purchase narcotics directly from Gandt.
When the search warrant was executed and the suspect’s home was searched, narcotics investigators located, 30 Dosage Units of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide or “LSD”, 116 grams of Marijuana, 482 grams of THC resin or “Wax”, 7.75 grams of powder Cocaine, and 402 grams of Psychedelic Mushrooms during their search.
Christopher Michael Gandt was arrested on scene. He was then taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with; Two Counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Two Counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Use or Storage of a Controlled Substance.
Gandt appeared before Magistrate M. Nethken who issued a 20,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
