Registered Sex Offender arrested for failure to register.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, May 17, 2019 The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, Sex Offender Compliance Section was alerted to a Registered Sex Offender not being in compliance with the stipulations of the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registration Program.

Deputy C. James was alerted by a North Carolina Probation Officer about a Satellite Based Monitoring Device indicated Jamie Clifton Jarvis was residing at 205 Cattle Drive, Hiddenite in Alexander County.

Deputy James confirmed Jarvis had not submitted an address change form here in Iredell County. Jarvis had also not registered his address in Alexander County. Deputy James worked along with North Carolina Probation and Parole as well as Detective’s from the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on the case.

Based on the evidence gathered through the investigation, Jamie Clifton Jarvis was charged with Felony Failure to Notify Address Change from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Felony Post Release, and Probation Violations from Officer D. Hines with from North Carolina Probation and Parole Office, and Felony Failing to Register with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Jarvis was arrested on Monday, May 20, 2019 by Deputy James on all charges, he received a 10,000.00 dollar secure bond on the Iredell County charge, and 35,000.00 dollars secure bond on the other charges. Bond was set by Magistrate D. Chambers.
