The Criminal Warrant Service Unit is responsible for the service of all criminal papers received by the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. This unit apprehends wanted individuals and processes them through the judicial system.
The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the service of certain Criminal Processes within Iredell County. These processes include Criminal Summons, Warrants for Arrest, Orders for Arrest and Fugitive Warrants. In addition to these they often serve Subpoenas, Child Support Orders and any other criminal processes required for service in Iredell County.

In 2018, the Criminal Warrant Service Unit served over 2300 warrant for arrest. They also logged over 950 calls for service and had an average of 190 criminal papers served per month.
